I bought the 2009 version 3 weeks ago. Cost is $28. The soda and coffee there is $3.50. figure it out. 8 sodas pay for the mugs. My family most likely refilled these 6-9 times a day. Paid for by noon. I bought 3. For coffe in the morning, I took the mug in for sh ow, but used the Starbucks cups for coffee so the coffee taste would not get in the mugs. No problem. Buy the mug, you will save $
