I have dealt with giving back a timeshare on my own. I simply called the resort and told them we could no longer pay the maintenance fees. We owned the property out right. I submitted a letter explaining our finances. It was then taken to the board of trustees. In the end, they took took it back. Good Luck! Zoobie
