RTU's usually also have a specific end time. At that time your right to use is done and you have no further obligations. Until that time is up you still need to either sell or give the membership to someone else to complete the term of use or make arrangements to give it back to the resort if they are willing to accept the membership back either with or without an additional fee. The terms of the RTU including any transfer fees should have been spelled out in the original contract.
