We are total novices in terms of renting out our timeshare week. We now have gotten two responses to our red week ad. Questions: 1) Can I just ask for the renter to send me a certified check or bank check for the week and once received I will notify Marriott of their name and time they are going? 2) Do I need to ask for a copy of their driver license so I know who I am renting to? And can I give them my mobile number to tell them what to do to secure the unit? 3) Do I need to carry liability insurance for that week in case someone breaks something and if so, how much? 4.) Do I need to carry liability insurance if one of the renters gets injured on the property or in the unit?
