Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

selling vacation points

Dec 17, 2006

I'm pretty new to the whole timeshare business thing and have 210,000 unused Fairfield VIP points I'd like to unload. JayJay, you seem really experienced at this, so maybe you could explain to me how the selling my bonus points works. What is a good price to ask, especially since I have points expiring soon. I posted a Redwish and have had some queries. Can anyone help?

(I suppose I could contact Fairfield as well huh, but it is Sunday night and I'm impatient :P).

norin, my experience comes from owning weeks not points. I don't know what Fairfield points are worth on the resale market, but hopefully someone will come along with experience in that area.

I would think, though, that if you offer the points for sale at a reasonable price (lower than a Fairfield developer) that you wouldn't have any trouble at all selling them.

I would suggest you first find out what your Fairfield points are worth by doing a Google search and going from there.
