when should you finally give up trying to rent your timeshare out and just deposit it. How long does it take? It appears not much gets rented out.

Hi Valerie,

It appears that your rental posting has a lot of competition. There are currently 245 timeshare rental postings for your resort and quite a few for the same time period. You might try lowering your price and see if that helps.

Valerie,

I have had much success in renting our timeshare at the Surf Club. There is a lot of competition, however there are many renteres out there lookint for a good deal. I also think we got goo prices for our rentals. So far we only deposited 1 week with Interval, and we did it 60 days before the reserved week was to expire.

======== I agree with Frank. If you deposit with II,make that deposit no later than 60 days prior, otherwise it becomes a Flexchange, and you exchange availabilities would be limited to ohter Flexchagne units (59 days to 24 hours before check-in). Good Luck Mike

Marty, Thanks, I already did lower it. I didn't realize there were that many rentals on the market. I thought I counted 8 for that week and the comparable room. Depositing sounds like the best option.

I see one on Tug, it's for week 7 but for a $50 fee they can change the week (copy and paste url):

And here there a two week 6s for rent:

One wholly owned home/condo here although not at the Renaissance: http://www.vrbo.com/120055

To see many more rentals you can google Rentals,Renaissance,Aruba,February 8, 9, 10th
