We will be staying at the moc in July and I am wondering which tower would be better for views and maybe have updated decor. We have an oceanfront room.

Molokai is the best tower to stay in as you either get the beautiful pool to look at or the ocean or the new Napili wing and pools to look at...lots better than the Lanai tower views....if you have the corners especially!

We have stayed in both towers and Molokai Tower is definitely our favorite. You can see the islands, Molokai and Lanai plus one corner is overlooking the super pool area and now the other corner the new Napili Tower area. It's closer to the food and the laundry facility is on the bottom floor of the Molokai Tower. It seems to be more central to the resort and the inner courtyard of the Molokai Tower is very lush with greenery.

We love the Lanai towers.... Great rooms, 60 ft from the beach so we can hear the surf all night with the doors open, the playground is next to the pool which is usually much less crowded than the main pool... It's a GREAT resort!!!

We are considering a stay at the MOC, but are confused about the properties.

There is Lahina & Napili facility listed at one rate and there is the Molokai, Maui & Lanai faciltiy at another rate.

Which is the newest and/or better choice? Do thay all share the same pool complex?

The Lahaina & Napili towers are the newest & have full kitchens & laundry facilities in each villa. I've only toured the model units but they seem to have more upscale furnishings than the other units - don't know if the 'regular' units in these towers are so nicely furnished.

The other 3 are in the converted hotel portion of the resort. They have a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, blender & needed dining ware & utensils. There are grills thru-out the property. There is a free laundry room on the ground floor of the Molokai tower.

There are 3 pools - the Super Pool & 2 smaller ones that can be used by all guests.

Are you looking to rent or buy a unit? If you're interested in buying, I'd say rent a unit first & see what the resort has to offer, then make up your mind.

Hope this helps.

The Lahaina and Napili towers are the new, purpose built units that have full kitchens. The other towers are the hotel conversions that are older and do not have full kitchens or washers and dryers in the unit. The older units are very nice but if you want to save money by cooking in the unit (go to Costco near the airport to stock up on food on your way to the hotel) and be in a new unit stay at the Lahaini or Napili towers either one is nice. The Lahaina tower has a large parking structure next to it and the Napili has a small parking structure next to it that fills up fast. If you will be using your car often choose the Lahaina tower, if not using it a lot choose either tower. Views are fantastic from either one.

There is a small pool in front of the Napili tower and one next to the Lahaina tower, and a giant pool in the middle of the hotel conversion building. The smaller pools are quieter and often easier to get a chair at than the giant super pool.

There are BBQ's outside all buildings with tables next to them so great to cook at also.

The older towers are nice, and the ocean front villas are closer to the water than in the newer towers and they have more bathrooms for example a 1 bedroom will have two bathrooms making it easier for four people to stay comfortably. But no full kitchen. Good Luck! You'll love it!

We are owners and go to this property annually. The Lahaina and Napili towers are new, condo style living. Includes full kitchen, laundry, etc. The Lanai and Molokai towers are the original rooms -- converted hotel rooms. They are less expensive but very nice. They do not have a full kitchen and do not have laundry facility in unit (there is one for guests on ground floor of the Molokai tower). Depends on what you need/desire. Between the Molokai and Lanai towers we prefer the Molokai tower -- you don't have the sun baking on your balcany all day.
