Buying another TS so i can exchange??

I purchased 4 days at Planet Hollywood Westgate in 2008. I can only exchange within westgate give them my 4 days and they will give me a week.

However, Westgate is limited to only a fe places, and most o them are dated.

Do you think its smart for me to purchase another week maybe with marriot or another company?

So i will be able to exchange with other timeshare companies and make the TS work for me?

I like the marriott Grande Vista, but the maint seems high, o n ebay i see some selling or 1800 but the maint is 991...

any suggestions

we did this, we own at DVC and didnt want to exchange Disney. So we purchased on Ebay a good deal at tahitti Village in Las Vegas, this is my first attempt at trading, so far not a positive experience. Still waiting for a week to be confirmed for summer 2011. Doesnt look good so far :(
