Hi,

Fraud rarely happens on RedWeek but occasionally it does. When we are made aware that a posting may not be legitimate, we take action to notify our members as soon as we find out.

The best way to protect against fraud is to use an escrow service. First American Title is our recommended provider. You can reach them at vacationfirst@firstam.com or 866- 639-9203.

We can't vouch for any member, but we almost always see a typical pattern when there is fraud involved. If something seems suspicious, you are always welcome to send us a question regarding an owner, and we can tell you how long they have been a member and if there are any complaints on their account.

We never recommend paying an owner via wire transfer (Western Union, MoneyGram). You can view the pros and cons of each payment method at: http://www.redweek.com/resources/payment-method-comparison

I hope this helps! Feel free to Contact Us if you have more questions on how to stay safe.

Warm regards Kristin
