Does Redweek verify the ownership/identities of people listing a timeshare for rent on its site?

Becoming "RedWeek verified" is an option (it's NOT mandatory) for any owner advertising a timeshare rental on RedWeek. The additional cost for the advertising owner to become "RedWeek verified" is only $14.99, so I personally always choose to purchase that option when I advertise a timeshare week for rent, in order to provide some additional "peace of mind" to any prospective tenant. However, an owner / advertiser NOT choosing to pay extra to be "RedWeek Verified" certainly does not indicate a lack of honesty or ill intent of any kind on their part.

Keep in mind that RedWeek requires ANYONE posting (or responding to) ANY RedWeek ad to first be a paid member. Accordingly, identities are known to RedWeek and people can be traced or tracked down, if ever necessary to do so. However, unlike on risky sites (like Craigslist, or eBay), scammers do NOT frequent RedWeek anyhow (for the very reason that they CAN be identified and traced), so RedWeek tends to be a very reliable site from EITHER side of a rental transaction.
