Timeshares With Building Unit Unassigned????

What is the meaning of this? There are fixed week timeshares with this description.

Please inform me to as to what "unit unassigned" means.

Jon L.: "Unit unassigned" means the owner does not own a fixed unit, but rather the unit is assigned each year at check in. The owner or renter can call the resort to request a certain unit or location prior to check in, and the resort will usually do their best to accommodate you, but the room location is not guaranteed.

if the ad says Divi Phoenix unassigned will it definitely be at the Phoenix or can it be at another Divi location?

If a unit is listed as unassigned but under the Aruba Marriott Surf Club resort, will that unit actually be in that resort with access to all resort amenities or is there a risk of the unit being assigned, at time of check in, to a different resort? Thank you.
