Wheel chair accessible including wheelchair accessible shower search

Is there a way to search for rentals that are wheelchair accessible?

Claire Kelly W: There is currently not a search for accessible units. Most timeshare owners do not own a specific unit, but rather the unit is assigned at check in. You should verify with the owner if they have a fixed unit or if their unit varies. Each resort will usually have a certain number of accessible units, so you would need to contact the resort to find out how many accessible units they have and then request that you be assigned one as soon as you have the rental confirmation.

If you have further questions, please use the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page. Thanks!

Hi Claire,

I think you will have the best luck asking that question on the forum of the Timeshare Users Group (TUG). There are other members of TUG that use wheelchairs, walkers, etc and would know which resorts have wheelchair accessible rooms. Also to perform a search on all posts, for the search function type in the resort you are interested in and put ‘wheelchair’ or ‘disability’ in the search line too. Then see what results you get. https://tugbbs.com/forums/index.php

Here is an older link about the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) located on TUG: https://tug2.net/timeshare_advice/Disability_and_Timesharing.htm
