SVC to Club Wyndham conversion

We just attended an SVC owner's update where we were pitched converting our SVC points to Club Wyndham at 1:40 provided we purchase a certain number of Club Wyndham developer points (116K). I'm wondering if we purchased resale Wyndham points to get into their system would we be able to convert our SVC points directly?
