I wanted to start a new topic, about the rentals on the Montecristo units. The resort should be doing this. Then they could be in control of how much they rent for. Seriously, people are renting their units (out of desperation?) for $150-night. come on... the cheapest hotel in Cabo costs more than that for a 200 sq/ft room. and this is a 3000 sq foot house over an ocean... the right price for these things is probabaly north of $1000 per night, and people would pay it if the resort managed it.

And by the way, once they set the price there, it would be easier to sell the units because people wouldn´t look online and see them for rent for less than the maintenance.

maybe, maybe not. I wouldn't pay that, others would for simplicity.

I prefer to deal with an actual owner so that they get all the proceeds, no middle man taking a cut. I am happy to do the legwork to save money, and rent out my own units as well.

Sure, some owners would prefer someone else deal with it, but I think the risk of No Rental is greater that way, whereas, between owner and renter, negotiation is possible to achieve win-win instead of "pay this or walk."

I have created an open FB group for all owners and past renters of Montecristo Estates. It is open to anyone. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=250753352557&ref=nf

Also, any owners in the top 18 villas I encourage to join my new private group Montecristo Estates Penthouse Villa Owners. This is a private FB group only for top 18 villa owners that we can use for exchanges, social interaction or whatever else we want it to be. Let me know if you have any problem joining.
