The information will give users and potential users an idea of what it might cost IF it becomes available. Such advance knowledge could encourage people to go ahead and deposit. If they see many provisional weeks and they have some idea that their week is worth enough to get there then potential depositers will go ahead and take the gamble that one of those weeks will perhaps become open. Many of the requests for valuation -- whether they check the box to make a week provisional or not-- arise because people want to know how many points it takes to get to a particular resort or vacation spot. Until they know that it is hard to justify depositing a week.
Another option would be for RW to post a points guide. The guide would show all the resorts--whether available for trade or not-- and the points associated with them by time period. The bonuses for early deposit and what that means should also be posted for each resort. This guide would level the playing feld and would clarify many of the questions being raised by users and potential users alike.
We are working to make our system more functional. Our goal is to bring in more exchanges rather than the provisionals so then the point values would obviously be out there for all to view.
Thanks, Marty
