My family was enslaved and I believe mixed blood with the Egglestons due to obvious reasons. Martha Lawerence had children there up until 1867. What lead to the demise if any demise of the Eggleston family Plantation besides the end of exploitive slave labor? Thanks any info would be appreciated.
