Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Anyone have experience with Castle Law Group, PC out of Tennessee

Jun 22, 2017

Does anyone know if Castle Law Group helps with timeshare foreclosures? I stopped making all my payments and now Diamond is telling me that they're going to foreclose on me. What exactly does that mean? Can a law firm help me out? I'm just really worried that my credit is going to be screwed up because of this.

Castle Law Group is another upfront front scam operation . They are currently being sued for taking people's money and not doing anything for it .

Funny thing because I reported you this am for harassment Donp196. I've asked you already and I will ask you again. Please stop harassing me. I will look up your IP address and find out if you really are former law enforcement official. When I find out that you are not.....I will be sending the screenshots that I took of your post. You are making this worse. There are plenty of people that need help. I don't understand why you wouldn't want to support that. The way you are reacting is pitiful. Again, before you keep replying in such harsh ways maybe you should make sure you aren't wasting time on the wrong person

Even Redweek agrees that you are trying to promote your SCAM in the forum. I reported you to Redweek for posting your contact information in other threads. Hopefully they will bar you from the forum . I will continue to call you out every time you post your SCAM in here . You're not the first lowlife SCAMMER that I chased out of the forum and I won't stop . I will continue to warn people every time I see you or any other SCAMMER in here .

By the way I don't own or work for any company . I take pride in helping others for free . I consider it an honor to run people like you out of the business of stealing money from people in the form of upfront fees .

As has been pointed out in this thread, CLG is being sued for fraud by some timeshare companies so I would not look to CLG for help. In fact, I would not look to any company for help when dealing with potential foreclosure on a timeshare property.

If you default (as you mentioned you are doing), then yes, you will likely face a ding on your credit rating. When did you stop paying? And are these payments for the mortgage or the maintenance fees or both? You have to decide for yourself on this one. First of all, it looks like you will be happy for Diamond to repossess. Depending on how much you owe, it might just be worth it for you to let all the payments slide and let Diamond foreclose but then you take the credit hit.

If you feel that your credit rating is very important, then pay what you owe and then try to negotiate a deed back. Right now, Diamond is taking some units back. You can try this phone number: 877-497-7521, option 1 English, then 3 is direct to Loss Mitigation, or this e-mail address: lossmitigation@diamondresorts.com.

But do not pay any company an upfront fee that claims that it can rectify everything for you such as erasing your debt and giving back your unit. That is usually a scam.

Completely Disappointed! Castle Law Group takes an upfront fee and you never here from them again. Huge waste of time and money. Im having to hire another lawyer to sue Castle for a refund. Not sure whether they even have licensed lawyers. SCAM SCAM SCAM. All of Castle's clients should call the bar if they are lawyers, or the Attorney General's office - or both.

You'd be better off on your own - Castle Law is a scam

Hey Jeff,

I saw your post and hope you had unbiased wisdom on using a law firm to get out of a time share. It's scary thing to read all these forums because its mixed with very strong opinions to stay away from a lawyer and the ones that do suggest are often very quiet and quickly shut down. I always read about posts asking for advise but I never see a follow up or outcome. We're in the process of interviewing with law firms and deathly afraid. I pray every night for good luck, and hope we will not be scammed. I don't think we can be scammed twice( one from the time share and another from a law firm that suckered us because we believed in them). My heart would stop beating from severe anxiety.

Laura, I talk to many timeshare law firms, and occasionally write about them for RedWeek, so would like your input. Please give me a call 310-801-3479.

If you feel that an attorney is the only way to go then choose one where you live. There are many competent attorneys in every town . They have offices that you can actually walk into and speak with someone. They are regulated by your state's bar association. NEVER use an attorney that you " heard about " on the internet .

Castle Law Group has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. In reviewing all of their client complaints, they apparently just take a client's money and never do anything for them. Classic Front End Fee scam with no services delivered. F rating = Avoid at all costs.

Castle Law Group has an F rating with the BBB - they are as much a scam as the timeshare company's like Westgate.

Anybody reading this who is thinking about using Castle Law--DON'T. We sent them a certified letter back in May requesting a refund. No response. Kept getting the run around & endless excuses. I just talked with someone this morning & according to him upper management was stealing money from the company, so they are trying to recover. Unbelievable!!! If anybody can benefit from our personal experience, I hope this helps. RUN FROM THIS LAW FIRM (I'm starting to doubt if it's a legitimate law firm).

I spoke with a representative from Castle for over an hour. I also spoke with an advocacy group that referred Castle and two other firms that deal with this type of thing. We bought a Westgate timeshare and I've regretted it for years now. At this point I don't care if I get money back- I just want out of it. I'll chalk it up to a "stupid tax" and move on. I was optimistic after hearing Castle's pitch and some limited research seems to show they are legitimate...this thread has me concerned though. Beginning to wonder how one can truly get rid of this! No idea how to determine what is legit and what is not. Sigh...

I know-it's very frustrating. If by some miracle we get our refund from Castle-I will post that in this forum. But as of now, all I've been getting is excuses. I don't recommend using them at all. Not only did they fail to perform the service, they are trying to get out of the refund per agreement. I feel stuck too.

How long ago did you start the process with them? Did you already pay them? FYI, anyone that owns with Diamond they are EXTREMELY backed up in their title services

I started the process with Castle over a year ago. I sent them a certified letter requesting a refund in mid-May.

By now it should be obvious to everyone that they are a SCAM operation. NEVER pay anyone money upfront that claims they can get you out of your contract !!

Valarieh16,

If you started the process in Mid May it may take another month or so. It's not just the Law group, it's the title companies that take so long too. If Castle isn't corresponding with you throughout the process then I would be worried.
