point rental liquidators

Nov 28, 2012

Tha,t i believe, is where most of the misunderstanding lies. The Las Vegas office is not actually a Sunset Harbor office with Sunset employees and or representatives. These are all people including Lisa and Sarah and Malia who are representatives and employees of GLH or R&R. They run interference and let owners think that they are working with the resort when in reality they are still working with the sales teams people. Also this keeps the actual resort from hearing about a lot of the problems that owners are having. Please read my original post on page 16 or 17 of this thread. I originally put in the home address and cell #s of Guy and Nonna Russell but they were deleted. I know a lot of the anger is aimed at BJ for good reason but he, like Lisa, or the salesmen are all just PUPPETS of Guy and Nonna Russell.. It really is much like (If not actually) organized crime. (I appologize for any typos, I am rushing out the door.

Sunset Harbor Resorts HAS to be in on this scam. When the salesmen scammed my parents into purchasing a timeshare, Sunset Harbor Resort was the ONLY one they offered.

I've talked to Debbie Berra, the resort manager on site in Willis, TX. She knew the 2 salesmen and admitted they work as brokers on commission selling timeshares for SHR.

I am not defending the resort as a whole or claiming 100% ignorance.. but it seems the brunt of the issues and complaints listed on here are about the "Sunset Harbor Reps" from the regional office in Las Vegas and what they are telling folks.. I would be wary if you are reaching out to them because the same person calling the shots in that office is the same one who masterminded the PRL Scam. The only completely innocent ones here are the people who were duped by the prl and glh salesmen

The employer is responsible for the actions their employees. They can't claim ignorance. I'm sure they have been confronted by many complaints and they still turn a blind eye. Where does the buck stop ?

I'd like to mention the names of the sales people who claimed they were Sunset Harbor People. I have Their cards. Bill Rudd and Donna Rubar. Bill was reported to be the National Director and Donna was the account manager. Unfortunately I transferred my mortgage from the high interest BofA to a no interest for 18 months, hopping to eventually get a payout. I did get one small one. I do not plan to pay any maintenance feea and will ask Sunset Harbor to take it back and pay what I owe. Lot of luck there.

what did Bill Rudd look like? I believe that is probably an alias.. and what state and city did you purchase in?

My wife and I also got caught in this scam. I have recently found that on Oct, 7, 2012, PRL is no longer in business. I guess the conversation needs to change now to Excess Property Solutions (EPS). They have supposedly taken PRL's place in the sale of points. They have a website (EPSRents.com) which looks impressive. I contacted them and the first thing they did was mail me a contract they wanted me to complete and return. The wording in the contract was almost the same as the contract with PRI except some of the features are varied. I expect they are the same people with a different name.

The "salesmen" that duped my parents were supposedly named Hughes Dewailly and Pat Thompson. No business cards handed out, they hand-wrote their names and numbers on the handy dandy Sunset Harbor Resorts folders that they so conveniently had with them.

Purchased in Rome, GA sept of 2011. I can't say much about his looks, however he was a real smooth guy always smiling and telling us how helpful he and Donna would be.

To rockycove-- Who directed you to the EPS sight or did you find this sight on your own .Is there a specific person you spoke to ?

If he was an older gentleman in his late 60's wore glasses and had a goatee or mustache that would be William "bill" Redford under an alias. He has used the alias paul Young in the past. He is also the owner of getaways marketing in hiram ga. that calls and invites the guests to an "RCI update meeting" He has been Guy's right hand man for a long time. and Yes, with 100% certainty the new rental scheme is the Excess company they described in the other post

Yes, How can anyone do what PRL promised? An exchange company may can exchange with you or something but i havent heard of any other place offering to pay money for every point you turn in to them like PRL..Thats why I didnt believe it anyway but my husband thought since it was in contract and guaranteed ..in writing that is was ok.. So now we see.. it isnt, and I was pretty much afraid of that but was hoping I was wrong. I am so skeptical about anything now I dont want to believe anything they say. makes it hard to. I spoke to someone today at SHR for first time in over a week, and they said a NEW company was taking over and was going to be a good thing, going to do better than PRL ...WEll are they going to scam us better ...or what.. I have hard time believing any of that. and I Want my money back and they can do whatever they want with their new Company. I Ihave never seen a business of any kind treat people like they have and never informing you of what is going on at all.. that is just not Normal Practice of a Reputable place.. I have two more timeshares at resorts that you get someone every time you call and can book your own place and everything..never have i seen calls that wont go through or mailbox full or will have someone call and never will. that is Not good at all.

I have been in contact with Vacation Villas in Titusville, FL. I think they are being used in the same way that Sunset Harbor in Texas was used. The person at Vacation Harbor was not aware of the whole scam that was being sold and that Vacation Villas was now the resort being targeted for sale. The person I talked to said they would no longer sell to anyone referred by R & R Venture Group. My advice would be to ignore any advances from R&R Ventures Group, and PRL, now Excess Property Solutions, (EPS). If you receive an invitation to attend an update on RCI, ignore it or go and warn people it is all a scam. I have been informed by RCI, that they would never hold such an event. Therefore, the whole event is a scam using the name RCI to make people feel it's legitamate.

I don't know where Vacation Services International (VSI) figures into all of this. I know that Todd Miller does not tell the truth about what they offer. eg. Hold points indefinately, and membership status.

The only advice I can give is trite but, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".

I have been reading these bogus post from a disgruntled employee I think her name is Nancy she was a director for R&R Ventures for two years from what I have heard from timeshare associates. ( I work for a timeshare company the biggest in the world and I used to hear a lot of rumors about how it was a scam and shutting down but 40+ years later we are still here)

When she was fired for company embezzlement from what i have heard, she took it upon herself to spread vicious rumors and lies like this one up and including telling individuals the CEO of R&R Ventures was being investigated by the FBI which is a terrible lie like the ones she has been spreading around the Internet. It is my understanding she is getting ready to face criminal charges for embezzlement along with a big civil suit for her lies about that CEO.

Who knows what is truth in any of these articles or about any of these companies I guess the proof is how many people are happy and it seems there are some that are not and some that are as all of us in life know not everyone can be please even Walmart has many BBB complaints.

One thing for sure when you read these post all you see is an disgruntled employee steaming because she/he were let go.

Well, I can tell you that I have not ever been connected with the timeshare industry, except as a customer. The PRL gang screwed me and my wife for over $8,000! In the dozens of discussions I had with them, they made many, many promises and commitments. Not one of those commitments were met.

Jamesj406 is a shill. He's been in here many times singing the praises of the scammers. We've exposed him over and over again. Everyone should realize who the shills are by now.

The people posting in this thread have different screen names .... if it was only one disgruntled former employee then her screen name would be the same every time she posts, so your point doesn't hold water.

I am not a shill just concerned about all you people writing about negative issues on a product associated with the timeshare industry, hurting your own industry with your non-supported negative lies. You know all of you must have worked for this resort or PRL your talking about and it sounds like you are mad because you were fired. Fact, the original post said you worked for them 2 years if I recall so we conclude you scammed everyone knowingly if what your saying is true and you did it without thought so what are we to think?

I believe this is a salesman james "Jim" jones out of the branson area who still sells for the company. he claims that he is a very christian moral guy who is a retired houston policeman but he is smart enough to know its a scam and fraudulently posed as an owner in another forum under his handle kujuboman. He even tries to sell the fact that he is honest. definitely a shill.

This is the type of phony testimonials shills post in the threads. They claim to be satisfied customers to lure victims into their scams. They try to gain your confidence and they steer you to their website. Once you take the bait they isolate you and take your money. Don't be a fool and ignore Jamesj406. He's one of the scammers. Jamesj406 posted a phony testimonial on page 16 of this thread claiming to be a satisfied customer. He can't even remember the lies that he posted earlier.
