More specifically, what passes for "Mexican law" allows precisely 5 days to cancel a timeshare contract, regardless of what the contract may state (or fail to state).

Some Mexican timeshare operations have been known to fail or "forget" to provide the required notice of rescission (cancellation) rights. Some have even had buyers sign a (completely invalid) "waiver" of their rescission rights. Either one of those slimy actions (or acts of ommission) is entirely illegal.
