Has anyone heard of ICare Timeshare Marketing Group Inc.

My wife got a message from these people. Thanks, jayjay, for the info. I'm telling her not to deal with these people. If it's the scam it looks like, perhaps we should report them to the attorney general's office--they told her they have a buyer. Recording someone's voice without permission is illegal in Florida (even the cops can't without a warrant), but I'd love to get them to agree to be recorded...heh, heh, heh...

Exactly, and I would go so far as to start a class action lawsuit against the scammers .... see my thread on that subject.

The problem is that you may get the class action law suit rolling, but these cochroaches just disband, shutdown and show up under another company name. This one company has from my estimation recreated itself 4X times over the years. State of Florida will do nothing because they can't find them.

That may be true but you, and others that's been scammed, need to stay on Attorneys General to shut ALL UPFRONT FEE RESALE COMPANIES across the board .... what they're doing is illegal.

Take action .... file a fraud complaint with the attorney general in the state the scammers are located .... I don;t understand people that's been scammed and do absolutely nothing about it except complain on an internet forum.

my experience has sucked also. was told by bethany that they would take care of me, she had to do alot of promises and persaussion to get me to fork over alot of money. said she already had someone who might be interested and could sell for what we had in it if we wanted. said she could get back the points we lost in rci that we had banked and never could find a place and time to use them so we lost them . told me to check bbb and i did and told me her # was#tp11213 which is a agent # and i checked out this, but they only call when i call them and of course i cannot get ahold of her-even her cell phone number she gave me is disconnected. they say she is in training in another state, but don't tell me if she works there or not. runaround for me also and only call i had was to offer to pay us 1/4 for our timeshare and we didn't want to sell anyway. any suggestions let me know

I spoke with Amy and have left several messages with a "manager" but never got a call back. I have seen other posts to call the attorney general and file a complaint, not sure of the address or how to begin this process. Something needs to be done.

You can find a list of all state's Attorneys General below .... many times you can file your complain online depending on the state the scammers are located:

Did anyone actually sell a timeshare through this company?

If they are a scam, you are fully covered by your credit card company to receive a full refund.

Any positive thoughts would be good as i am looking to sell my timeshare. Thanks

Sigh !!! and for the millionth time, any resale company that charges a large upfront fee is a scam, period .... as far as your credit card company goes, you have to prove that it was a scam and you only have 60 days to do so.

Also, have you not read all the negative testimonials here concerning that company .... sheesh!

iCare told me they got my name from the state of Florida because the state shut Time Share Pro down for fraud. I told iCare that I did not want to sell my timeshare based on all of the comments in this thread. Today Time Share Pro called with a buyer from my original listing. Time Share Pro has changed their name to Timeshare Mega Media Marketing. They want to use my credit card to deposit $1996 in an escrow account that will be refunded when the sale is final. The timing is ironic.

As I posted earlier, they get shutdown and they show up the next day with a new name and its business as usual. ICARE will do it again I am sure. And the BS about an escrow account, is just that, BS. Their will be no account with money that won't dissapear.

They are all thieving cochroaches !!!

They haven't sold anything .... all they want is your credit card to charge you the upfront fee .... all of a sudden, the buyer will have backed out or couldn't get financing but they keep your upfront fee ..... don't bite.

About all you can do is report them to the attorney general in the state the scammers are located and stay in touch with the AG .... the AG in Florida has sued several upfront fee scam companies, but unless you report them your hands are tied.
