Anyone have experience with Castle Law Group, PC out of Tennessee
I called the home resorts and I made sure I got in touch with the person that handles the deeds. I told them in no other language that I was going to get rid of my timeshares for personal reasons. I informed them that I was going to get them out of my name with or without their assistance . I told them that it was in their best interest to work with me otherwise it could cost them thousands of dollars in lost maintenance and legal fees and they will still end up with the deed.
They both agreed and I gave them back through " deed backs " . It took about thirty days and I had to be current in my fees and assessments. It costs a minimal amount of money to process the transaction and I have copies of the recorded quit claim deeds. I did this back in 2011 and have been maintenance free ever since. You have to be your own advocate and convince them that you will act on your word. They take each one case by case. BE firm and be prepared to act on your words. I was going to get rid of them with or without their help.

It would be unwise of the timeshare not to take it back if it's fully paid for. Why wouldn't they, when they can resell it?
If the timeshare itself is not paid for, even if your maintenance & "special fees" are up to date- does anybody know if they would allow you to deed it back? I'm not convinced they would, no matter how much you plead or threaten.

Some will and some won't. It's easy to say they should take it back but when they do, that's a loss of maintenance fees coming in. That means the other owners at the resort have to reluctantly and unhappily pick up the costs.
And yes, the resort can try to resell a unit that is deeded back but it's not that easy. Why do you think they use the tactics they do to sell units?

I got rid of them in 2011 . I called the resorts myself and made sure I got in touch with the right person that handles the deeds . I explained that they have an option to take it back or I would get the titles out of my name and I didn't care what they had to deal with after I got rid of them. I stood my ground and they agreed . It only took a few weeks to process and it only cost me filing fees.
I made it my priority to get them out of my name and they realized I was serious. You have to take a stand and follow through .I made them realize that it would be in their best interest to work with me than someone I picked to unload them on . Everyone has to make their own decision and I was determined to get them out of my name and I did .

I still have the witness. The law group stated that it may take 2 years if we go to trial. We are hoping that there is a settlement offer before we do go to trial. This is a normal span of time for a Law suit and Wyndom is using all of the time to see if I will give up. I will not.

First contact your home resort. Make sure you contact the person that handles the deeds. Explain that you want to do a " deed back " . If they agree you have to be current with all fees and assessments.
The resort will send you papers to sign and notarize. You send them back and they file the paperwork. The process should take only a few weeks and cost a minimal amount for filing . Your resort may have you pay the next years fees to give them time to resell the property. That is a small price to pay to unload the burden of never ending maintenance fees.
I got rid of two timeshares in 2011 that way and I can't tell you what a relief it is. Good luck and if you are successful or not please come back to the forum and let us know.

I have been in contract with Castle Law Group since last August 29th 2015. I have had limited communication with them since except for a letter here and there saying we are still working on it. When I call the law group I get forwarded to a voice mail having to leave a message everytime. I have received nothing for the $5000 dollars that took from my husband and myself. What do I need to do to get my money back since I have not heard any results from the Sedona Pines resort or Castle law group. I was told in my contract I would receive funds back from Sedona Pines being they could never give us a date to stay whenever I called them. Not a penny. Also never recevied back anything stating case closed timeshare is no longer your obiligation. Who is kidden who? Do I need to get an attorney to after this law group now or call my credit card company to reimburse my funds?

Call your credit card company immediately and see if you can still dispute the charge. File a complaint with the Attorney General in your state and the state the low life law firm is supposedly registered. Then file a complaint with the bar association in the state they claim to be licensed in. Five thousand dollars is a large sum of money so be diligent and don't let these bottom feeders get away with stealing your money.

I received a letter from this firm saying that timeshare laws have drastically changed and offering an informational meeting. I am wary of free "informational meetings", and after reading this thread I'm certainly not going to get involved with this firm. Thanks to all for the heads up.

Those informational meetings are just like update meetings at the timeshares. They lead you on and then try to sell you something. Once they have you trapped at a meeting they convince their victims to pay them thousands of dollars based on their well rehearsed presentation aimed to get money from you.
NEVER pay anyone money upfront that claims they can get you out of your contract especially a bottom feeding attorney .
