I got a new number for ICAre TImeshare--954-745-1115--they caller id on my phone says country club--got a new lady -sandy- and she says i will never get my money back, that i had 3 days to change my mind and that this contract is legally binding--whether they do anything for me or not (it took a week to get the paperwork that told us that) she said also that they denied giving my money back as it is used for advertising-- and that once denied forget it--well i am going to keep trying, told her to re-request the money...already filed report with FLa-attorney generals office and now i am going to file one with FLa. BBB, who gave them a good recommendation...also got a call from another company offering to give me $245.oo of my ICAre timeshare money back--that they were authorized to contact me--asked me all kinds of questions that i would not answer and they hung up on me...so frustrated that they can get away with this, taking peoples hard earned money and the people on the phone lying to us--hope they don't sleep well at nite--any ideas is much appreciated

Ya, apparently there is a new type of fraud and that is people who claim they can get your money back for you. I've gotten a few calls like this and when I tell them I have to research their company first, they never call again. I have a feeling that these companies and Icare are the same thing. It's just another way for them to get more money from us. You can also file a police report. What I did with Icare is call every extension I could (they go in order numerically) and some of them have names. I wrote down the names and will call back and tell them those are the names I am adding to the police report. We'll see if that scares them enough or not.

They called me Nov.2009 tewlling me they had a list of people wanting to rent my timeshare and it would cost me $200/week rented (I would get $1600/week rental) or I could pay $800 and they would rent as many weeks as I wanted forever. I said rent one and from the profit off that I would pay the $800. I sent them $200 and have never heard from them since. I wonder what happened to that list of renters. Then someone else called and said they had a buyer that wuold pay $42,000 to buy it and they only wanted $1200 I said take it out of the $42000 they hung up and never called back.

this week I have received 5 calls from different companies. 2 of them are recovery co. that want to help get money back. Fortunately I put all my deposits on credit cards before I learned my lesson and got all my $ back. The other co's are Timeshare Income Inc, C&C Timeshare Resales (Stephen Powers) and 1st Star Properties. C&C just sent me some docs via email. I have yet to see. Anyone know anything about these companies.

All have said what a valuable property I have @ Havasu. We like it 36200pts, $650 fees. 2 bdrms. Do these ever sell if people want to sell? All for now, stay alert the scams are out there.

I don't what the value of such a property is (nor will I pretend to know). What I do know is that anyone calling you out of the blue, buttering you up by telling you how valuable your property is, is likely a scam. That's one of their trademarks telling people that their property is worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Most timeshares are selling for peanuts right now. Some can't even be given away. If your property is as valuable as they are portraying, try listing it yourself on a reputable site like RedWeek, My Resort Network, TUG, bidshares, etc.

Just never pay anyone a large upfront fee to sell, rent out or market your property!

Go to 'do not call' and post the telephone numbers of the scammers that's been harrassing you .... everytime they are reported they are fined ..... anytime a large upfront fee is charged it's a scam.

DO NOT give them any money. This company has been shut down!!! They are a complete rip off. I have been ripped off $2055.00 and am having a really hard time getting my money back. Also, be aware of companies calling saying that they can get your money back for you, just pay this fee of $???. The only way you will get your money back is to file with the Consumer Protection Services. Go to www.800helpfla.com on the left side of the page click on file complaint then consumer complaint and fill out the form. Please, do not give them any credit card information, tell them to leave you alone and hang up.

RUN, quick don't do business with them. They are a scam and are being shut down. If you have given them money, don't believe the people who call and say they can get your money back for a fee. Go to this website www.800helpfla.com and fill out a complaint form. Also, when these companies call you, ask for their license number, real license numbers begin with TC, address phone and the name of the person you talked to, it will help with your complaint.

You can go to www.800helpfla.com and file a complaint, this is the only way to get any money back. The company has been shut down and they are coming back with the "I can get your money back for a fee. Get their license number, name, address and any other info you can. Tell them you need to do some research then go the web site and report them. Good luck.

Yes I have dealings with this company and they are a SCAM through and through. They have scammed me out of $1500.00 (http://www.complaintsboard.com/?search=icare%20timeshare) - Clickon the link and you'll see. There are law enforcement agencies attempting to shut all these companies down and I know this as I received a call from one of many investigator telling me that there is no such thing as a company selling your timeshare. You really must do this on your own... Like the rest of us. I fell into the trap and was ripped-off. Buy Owners Resort Maketing as well - is a scam. They are now shut down... My loss and will never get it back. The investaigator asked me about iCare as well and I told him that I have spent money with this organization in the hopes of selling my timeshare. He stated that they will be next to cose down...

Did you use a credit card. I got scammed by them but used my credit card. I got it all back via a dispute.

What do you mean by timeshare marketing? Are you looking to buy a timeshare? Sell one? Rent one?

If you're wondering about the company in the name of this thread, remember this thread is over seven years old and this company has likely closed up shop under this name and popped up under a new name.

Whatever you do, never ever pay any one or any company a large, upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, or "cancel" your timeshare. That is always a scam.
