When buying timeshares from Marriott, do they negotiate on the price?

I bought at Marriott in Orlando. They would not negotiate. They said the price was the price. I purchased for half price the same thing on a website like Redweek. Just aren't allowed to use the benefit of trading your week for Marriott reward points. That's not worth 12k to me.
