Loved my stay

We were there in November the pool was heated heaven, I like the fact we can use the pool & spa tub all night long.

i am going to be staying at this resort in june are there any tips you can give me. where to eat that isn't to exp. are there store near by where is the best place to shop for food did you rent a car over all what are the best deals. is the shuttle a good way to go. anything you can suggest would be appreciated. thank you for your time.

Vegas in the summer is hot so I think you may want to rent a car the shuttle goes to 3 hotels at specfic times so it not be might be right for you. A Car rental will allow you to see all the Parks in the area. The club is about 3 miles from the strip but the "Orleans" is right down the road on Tropicana and is afforable they have a good buffet. All the hotels have buffets in fact Vegas is the buffet capital of the world. There are plenty of stores off Decatuer Ave. I shop at Trader Joes they have gourmet foods & sell wine, but there is every store you can think of in Vegas, from malls to K-mart & Walmart t Ralph's for grocerys. Diners & delis too Sight seeing is great there too I have gone many times and still have not seen it all. Close by off Charleston Ave. is "Red Rock Canyons" It is a drive thru parklands of red mountain formations (about 25 mins away) there is also "Red Rock Casino" right before you enter the Park and Lake Mead has great drives around it (about 45 mins from Vegas) Lake Mead also is near the Hoover dam which emptys in to the lake. If you like boating Lake Mead Marina has rentals there. "Ring of fire" is also another park which is 45 mins away but you can be there all day long. On the strip there is lots of walking the hotels are so large they look close together but it is deceivng so wear comfortable shoes. The club is nice too very private and quite. Geri, it depends on what you consider pricey? I am from NY and everything is pricey so it is what you are used to paying. Every Hotel has lots of restrauants and they usually display their menu & price in front so you can decide from there. On the strip is the "Hard Rock Cafe" & Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and Smith & Wolenski's Steak House, but there are so many to choose from so have fun!

Hi Cindy, my husband and myself are coming to Vegas from Australia in August and can't wait to stay at the Club de Soleil! It sounds wonderful!

Hi Cindy, You will love staying at Club DeSoleil, the staff they employ are so congenial and helpful. Would recommend renting a car to see everything you want in this town. I put a stryofoam ball on the attena of the car we rented because we visted every casino in town and had drinks while playing and forgot what door we came threw and where we parked. It was fun though. The best prices are in the middle of the night, steak dinners for less than $5, the only thing is...find the Chamber of Commerce they have everything in Vegas listed there. Then you can make up your mind of where to go visit or eat at minimum price. Most of the hotels have magazines that have coupons in them for the different sales they have going on at that particular week or day. June might be a bit warmer than you might like, I was there in July a few years ago and got leg burns from the hot car seats (bring a towel to sit on). We slept very little and it was mostly during the day, nightlife there is non-stop, that town never sleeps. Depending on how many days you are going to be there I would suggest renting a car for a few days your there this way you will get a view of where everything is, then take a shuttle the rest of the time, saves on money too. That is what we did the last time in Vegas. Eatting in Vegas you will find it being very cheap for what you get. The restrauants are very competitive, so they have to keep their prices down , not true about the saying "You get what you pay for" there. You get more/better food than what you pay for anywhere there in Vegas. See the historic sites, visit the museums, pay attention to the various magazines ads on what to do and how much they charge. Aside from gambling I would say 2 people could eat well on less than $20 per day. My opinion of the best buffet there is at the Rio. Best Wishes

Yes the club supplies the dish/laudrey detergent

We were there the last week of March (ended in April), 2008. I had bought a 1-BR unit on E-bay just dirt cheap, so I knew I'd gotten my money's worth regardless of what it was like. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Everything clean and immaculate. Upholstered furniture needs a little DEEP cleaning or possibly replacing soon, although totally acceptable then.

The older units at Phase I on a side street OFF of Tropicana is better for quietness. Phase II right on Tropicana might let you hear traffic noise.

We rented a car and had a great time touring around to see SO many things! Pharmacies, grocery stores, etc., very close. Staying away from the fancy resort restaurants and patroninzing locally owned establishments gave us good food and reasonable prices. However, the buffet at the Rio Suites Hotel is excellent, varied and not TOO expensive. Shows are everywhere, enough to keep you entertained for weeks, BUT pretty expensive.

The Orleans very near de Soleil is beautiful, great place for gambling or listening to music, and their buffet was not too bad either. I PERSONALLY prefer sit down service restaurants, but .....

I have a hard time understanding how people can give de Soleil a bad review. I loved it.

Considering that people are still paying MANY thousands of dollars for units there, my investment in the unit was minimal. My PERSONAL recommendation, if you want to buy a unit from the developers is to buy one at Tahiti down the street (same owners). It's a little newer but NOT nices. Buy de Soleil on resale. Great bargains available.

I am planning to buy the 2bd units at club de soleil, I need some suggestions and advice from you since you stated that you bought it at a cheap price. I don't know if I am making a right move or not. I don't know how often the fee increases in the past. I hope I can get your mail back soon before tomorow's morning, that is my resission is end.

i myself think it is far from the strip if i were to buy in vegas it would be on the strip because we spent most of our time driving to the strip except for when we drove to the grand canyon. if you stay on the strip you can rent a car for the day to do things. i myself don't like spending time in traffic anytime we wanted to go to a show back in the car to go get the tickets then back in the car to go to the show plus i like eating at PF Changs which is at planet hollywood so back in the car to eat. depending on where you live and how many times you go to vegas is it worth it? i own a time share in florida belong to II went to vegas on an exchange and stayed at the club de soleil it was nice but i would rather stay on the strip. i own a 2 bedroom lock off unit in florida it has 2 living rooms 2 full kitchens i have it ever other year i bought it about 8 years ago and i either exchange it or use it.
