re: the picture of the man fishing What is that pier in the background? Is it private or is it public (useable by people staying at Ocean Villas)? Thanks

This is Jennette's Pier, which was damaged in Hurricane Isabel and plans are underway to repair and reopen it to the public. The nearest functioning public pier is about 3 miles south of Ocean Villas, just below Dunes South timeshare resort. If you want to be close to a pier, Dunes South is probably your best bet on the Outer Banks right now.
