anyone ever stayed here? Is it as good as it sounds? 1 star rating between this and the grand mayan..hard to believe...what gives?

Stayed in this property a few years ago -had full use of the Mayan Palace facilities including transportation back and forth, and the pool at the beach was good. Clean, nice , right on the golf course, no complaints at all!
