We are trying to decide on a destination for our winter vacation. We love beautiful beaches, snorkeling, and side trips. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Mexico, of course. If you are a beach person, consider Mayan Palace at Nuevo Vallarta.
Their resort right in Porto Vallarta is convenient and has nice pools but the beach itself is not great.
