How close to check-in can you book a week...??Any hints grabbing a last minute week??

We're trying to get the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta for this Fri/sat/sun...march 14/15/16.... I have an ongoing search with RCI but was told by someone at RCI yesterday that the search is pretty much "defunct" this close to the check in date. We had a 2bdr come up for friday checkin but we weren't thinking and turned it down! Now we need it back...!!!! Any thoughts??

Your can try the Last Minute Rentals forum on www.tugbbs.com .Renting is probably your only option at this late date. Or you can search for a rental here on Redweek.
