The Royal Caribbean does not have an all-inclusive plan. They have restaurants within the three adjacent resorts. You charge your meals/drinks as you complete your meals. You do not use cash. Everything is charged to your room and you pay at the end of your stay with cash or credit card

thanks for the reply...is there an advantage to eatig at their locations such as a discout? We have been going to Cancun for many years but not stayed at the RC..some of the other resorts offer an up front fee which gives you a discout at their resorts such as 20 per cent off meals and 2 for 1 drinks as opposed to an all inclusive fee.

The Royal Resorts are private. You must be staying at the Resort to use any of the resort's restaurants. That is the reason that cash is not allowed. There is a happy hour after around 3:00 each day.

There is a discount for the restaurant across the street called Captain's Cove It is owned by the Royal Resorts and is open to the public. There is a discount at the Hacienda Sisal which is located by the Royal Sands. You may use any of the Royal Resort facilities. The resort provides free transportation between the resorts. There are three located together. The Royal Sands is located by a shopping mall.

The meals are reasonably price and the food is excellent at all the resorts. There is a grocery store located at each resort. You can request that your frig is stocked for you with requested items before you arrive if you wish.

The cheapest groceries are those with hispanic brands, not American. We find most are as good if not better than American.

You will love the employees that are all so helpful and fun people. We own two units at this resort and love it.

ok...thanks for info We have owned at the Palace Resorts for about 10 years but have only stayed there 4/5 times. They are all-inclusive (which the meals are very good) but we enjoy going out...We have been renting condos in Playa, Cozmuel, and Cancun but have an acquaintance that is needing someone to use her unit at the Royal Caribbean for her maintence fee and wanted to find out about the meal plan before we made any decisions.

I don't think you will be disappointed in the Royal Resorts. The service is exceptional and I believe anyone staying at the Royal Resorts gets a discount at a number of restaurants throughout Cancun. Ask your concierge who will be asigned to you when you register. Enjoy!!
