HOW TO find an owner of a specific unit in a specific resort
Oiy! I dont see that this question has been asked yet after researching the boards. I want to buy a timeshare but .........lol ......... I want to find out who the owner is of a specific fixed week in a specific unit in a specific resort located in the Orlado area. I have tried calling the resort with no luck. Is there any way I can reach ou to them? I KNOW they are looking to sell their unit through one of the fraudelnt companies that has been mentioned here on this site so I would really love to buy it but NOT through that company. ANY advice WARMLY welcomed! Thank you oh helpful ones!!! lol Rich (I will share email address if you like to converse privately if you prefer)

You can find out through county deeds that's been recorded (county the resort is in) ..... it's public information.

Without first knowing either grantor or grantee name(s), or the approximate date of the last recorded ownership change for a particular unit/week, one could end up spending MANY HOURS trying to just weed through each and every recorded deed for the facility, looking for one particular unit/week owner. You can find out through county deeds that's been recorded (county the resort is in) ..... it's public information.
I would instead suggest calling the resort and asking if they would be willing to FORWARD a letter to the current owner FOR you, if you sent your written inquiry to the resort for addressing and forwarding to the owner (with your postage already conveniently affixed in advance ). No respectable resort will ever disclose any owner personal information, in the understandable interest of protecting owners' privacy, but the resort very well MIGHT be willing to forward a letter along for you, thereby still protecting owner info privacy, yet still allowing you to make contact and make your interest and identity known to the current owner. Then it would be entirely up to the owner as to whether or not they choose to open communications with you. It would cost you nothing but a phone call to at least ask, and it would be a whole lot smarter and much more efficient than reviewing (potentially thousands of) recorded deeds looking for a specific unit/week buried deep within the deed content, without knowing any grantor or grantee names or last transaction date to conduct a search. County records will generally NOT ever have ANY facility's ownership deeds arranged by units OR by weeks, so taking the "county records search" approach in your described situation would be very much like looking for a small needle in a large haystack if starting out having no grantor or grantee name(s) info.
Just a suggestion, to implement or ignore as you may see fit...
