Getaways? What are the restrictions?

Hi... I bought a week from a colleague but in less than 12 hours saw I didn't want the place, looks cruddy, Westgate RSV II at Orlando. I asked him to cancel but he said no cancellation policy. I asked him to switch the week to another time I can use, and he said he can't because it was a different kind of point system, Getaway points. What does that mean exactly. I am 919.00 in the hole. It's his/her prerogative to cancel or not. That's why it's so important to KNOW what you're purchasing beforehand.
