Don't hold your breath waiting. No one is going to give you any accurate, verified report of selling his timeshare with this company.

It shows all the signs of a scam. Don't fall for it!

Listen If you are going to sell your timeshare it is going to cost you money. Nothing is free! I have sold two timeshares and have paid either a realtor or a title company money. Yes there are scams so you must be careful who you use. Research the company, check the BBB for ratings and comments. Check out third party sources for input. But again nothing is free. Good luck!

But you can just as easily sell it yourself on listing sites such as Redweek if you price it right (depending on supply and demand of your resort and time owned) AND you can use a Quit Claim deed without using an attorney or closing company OR you can give it away using the same tactics, however many timeshare weeks can't even be given away.

Yea give it away after you have just paid and invested so much time and money into it. And if you sell it yourself on ebay or some where like that you still have to pay the resort to perform title work and transfer the deed. Good luck with that your resort doesnt want you to go any where. Nothing is free this is America And no one works for free or gives anything away. Just be an adult and do your due diligence and find the right company for you. Or keep it or even give it back to the resort and suffer the bad credit rating. I have successfully sold two time shares and both times paid a Realtor or title company. The fact you mentioned redweek makes me wonder if you are promoting it. who is really replying?

You can't just give a timeshare back to a resort unless they are willing to take it (most won't).

And yes, some things ARE free .... I acquired a free timeshare week in 2010 with the 2011maintenance fees paid AND the giver paying closing costs using a Quit Claim deed via an attorney. That week was absolutely free for me to use and I did. I sold it for a nice profit after I used the week .... we didn't care for the location of the unit but it was coveted by others.

It may have been free for YOU but how much did it cost the guy who gave it to you? I doubt his lawyer worked for free and I know you have to file that quit claim deed with the resort and they DEFINITELY don't do anything for free! I have already done my job by looking up Tele Teton Corporation online and I haven't found anyone saying that they paid them to sell their timeshare and did not get it sold. But I haven't found too much about them actually selling it either. BUT, having heard many of these horror stories on the news and all that, how a lot of those scammers are operating through a PO Box and not an actual office where they say they are. So I asked a cousin of mine who lives in Detroit to do me a favor and drive over to the address they had listed on their website as the office locating in Lansing. Well, since he didn't have an appointment he didn't get to meet with Stacey (the gal who I have been working with) but he did say that the young lady up front was very nice and polite and offered to help him since Stacey was out of the office on lunch apparently. My main concern at this point is that the fees are appropriate to my property? Does anyone actually KNOW how much it should be costing? Is there a way I can negotiate my processing fees down a bit? At this point I am sure that Stacey will get my timeshare sold, but I don't want to spend more then I absolutely HAVE to.

You said NOTHING is free .... that timeshare was given to me free and clear .... what the previous owner paid to unload it is not my business .... the owner is now free and clear of any future maintenance fees and possible special assessments .... that's all they wanted.

How much should what be costing ???? There should be no large upfront fee (hundreds/thousands) charged at all .... they are all scams .... if they were legit they would take their fees at closing, not before .... all they want is your upfront fee .... how convenient that Stacey was out to lunch when your cousin was there and how convenient the receptionist was being so nice .... they are TAUGHT to be that way.

BTW, don't hold your breath waiting for Stacey or any other upfront fee scam company to sell your timeshare .... even if this was a reputable company, it's not a given that any timeshare can be sold or even given away .... it depends on the supply and demand of the resort and time owned.

But since you're convinved that this company is not a scam why don't you pay them that large upfront fee and post back to us when it sells.

I agree that all money distribution sb @ closing. Also, cited from their web site, they claim 'The only cost to a seller is the processing costs for a title and lien search, legal opinion, and preparation of a new Warranty Deed and Closing Statement to convey good and marketable title to a buyer.' With a reputable time share, the title and lien search consists of checking to ensure that you have no outstanding debt with the Time Share management and there is no warranty deed. So, why 1500+ for preprocessing. I'll use them if all distribution is at closing.
