VOG: Vacation Ownership Group

Are they licensed real estate brokers? Ask them. If they say "No", then they can not legally sell timeshares for you. If they say "Yes", then ask in which state they are licensed. Remember, licensed real estate agents take their commission out of the proceeds of the sale. You should not have to put out one dime to complete the sale.

Has any one entered into any business agreement with this GROUP? I am not asking for advise, most everyone will GIVE me free advise while the ATTORNEYS make a living that way. I would like to know and hear from anyone who has signed an agreement with VOG and the VOG failed to provide the service within the projected time frame. PLEASE omit all the fear tactics and emotional aspects of it.
Thanks-----------GRB 71655

Bottom line, if they ask for a large upfront fee then they're a scam .... has nothing to do with fear tactics or emotion,

Renting your week successfully depends on supply and demand of your resort and time owned .... also don't overprice it.

I'm a little confused. Are you looking to rent or to sell?
Never, ever pay anyone a large, upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, or "cancel" your timeshare.
As for RedWeek, it's not a large fee. It clearly tells you that the fee is for advertising only. A lot of these scam companies charge a large, upfront fee telling you they will sell or rent out your timeshare only to send you a contract (after you've paid them) telling you that they're only advertising it. There's a huge difference between selling and advertising.

It seems that everyone wants to leave their comments even though they have no direct knowledge of the issue. I have asked if anyone has had business dealings with VOG? There have been several comments with zero official dealings with VOG. My Mother told me when I was very young to stay out of the water until I learned to swim. Even at a very young age I learned to consider where the advice comes from. I listened to my Father because he could swim, I listened to my Mother because I saw that she was worried about my safety. I ask again------Has anyone entered into a business agreement with VOG? If so tell me about it or refer me to someone who has.

My parents have also just been contacted by this group. I am also very interested to know well they've delivered on their promises to basically negotiate with Wyndham to reduce the balance of what's owed and in effect cancel the contract. They made no claims to be a realtor or lawyer but would attempt to get you out of the contract based upon any misrepresentation done by Wyndham. They said this is possible based upon the 2010 Frank Dodd Act. Have you heard anything from anyone that was helpful?

The fact that they contacted your parents is usually a sign of a scam.
As for getting your parents out of their contract, that can only be done by rescinding within the allotted time (no more than 10 days from the purchase date).
I am not going to outright say they are a scam but do not pay anybody a large, upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, or "cancel" a timeshare.

I was contacted and they said that they could reduce the principal still owed to Wyndham by 20% and get us a new deed for the number of points along with a new membership account. Maintenance fees would go on as now. The fee involved is $349, which isn't much considering the amount of time that they have already put into this deal.
Could it be legit?

No, it's not legit .... there's no way any entity can reduce the principal still owed to Wyndham .... a legal contract was signed by you with Wyndham and it will stand until it's paid off. Bottom line, if it sounds too good to be true then 99.9% of the time it's a scam.

We have received several calls from VOG they said that they can get us another deed and take us out of Club Wyndham. They are asking for a $349 fee to process papers, is this organization legit? And how do I convince my husband? VOG told us they can reduce our loan to $22,000.
