Marriott's Destination Program for Europen Owbers

I own one week at Marriott's Marbella. Have bought it on resale at a reasonable price.

The program enables me to opt for 75000 Marriotts Rewards Points every alternate year. I think that is useful. how long can these be carried forward?

Is the program a good value addition in my case?
