Court Denies RCI Points Class Action Settlement

There was only one Objector who appeared at the RCI Points Class Action Fairness Hearing held on December 6, 2012 in the case, Glenz v. RCI, No. 09-cv-378 at which the court “denied” the class action settlement. The Court will hold another hearing on January 14, 2013 and hear testimony regarding the fairness of the RCI Points Program and the settlement, Dkt. 103. The court specifically asked for testimony from the plaintiffs.

The attorney for the Objector created an email address RCIPointsProgramProblems@yahoo.com to enable RCI Points members to email comments, preferably in letter format so they can be more easily shared with the court, to the above email address regarding their experiences with and opinions of the RCI Points Program and settlement. The deadline to submit comments is January 5, 2013 so the responses can be analyzed and summarized by the court’s deadline before the above hearing. Maybe members can make a difference this time!
