February Newsletter Q&A: Is switching to RCI points the right move?

Feb 12, 2013

Timeshare Crusader Lisa Ann Schreier answers the following question in this month's newsletter:

I purchased a timeshare about 10 years ago and since then, it has switched over to RCI Points. I have not yet converted because I'm really not sure if points are the better way to go. I've done some checking on RedWeek.com and other forums, but those leave me more confused. Can you help?

If you have been satisfied with your fixed week for 10 years and the exchanges you've made then I see no point in paying RCI a $3500 fee to buy into their point system.
