1. Never buy from a developer.
2. Buy on the resale market for pennies on the dollar of a developer bought timeshare.
3, Buy where you wouldn't mind going every year as exchanging with an exchange company is a crap shoot especially for popular locations/seasons/times.
4. Just remember, you will have to pay ever rising maintenance fees each year until you sell the week or points.
5. Don't buy until you have researched the ins and outs of timeshare ownership .... in the meantime rent until you are familiar with all aspects of ownership.
