Splitting up a Marriott two bedroom unit to rent the studio portion

Mar 31, 2015

Instead of utilizing our two bedroom unit at the Marriott Timberlodge Lake Tahoe, I would like to rent the studio while we utilize the one bedroom. Can this work? Has anyone done this with Marriott? Who do I contact? I am new to this. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Darren,

If you own a lock-off unit, then you could divide it up. You would need to let your resort know that you want your lock-off split up and that you plan to rent out the studio side. You should receive a separate confirmation for each side.

If you need further assistance with posting your rental, please Contact Us.

Lock-off is a very easy thing to do and works very well. We own a Grand Chateau week in Las Vegas and do the lock-off every year. You can then rent the single units out, trade them as single units through Interval, etc. My best use has been in trading 1 bedroom units through Interval for "right sized units" for my wife and me in Hawaii and Boston. Some do the lock-off and then use the units for 2 consecutive weeks. Lock-off is a great feature of week ownership.
