Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Can anyone recommend someone to help us sell our Grand Luxxe Nuevo Property?

Has anyone had luck in selling/transferring their Grand Luxxe property? Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The first help to provide is to remember to never, ever, pay anyone a large, upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, or "cancel" your timeshare. You might have already received calls from scam artists claiming they can find buyers (or have buyers waiting in the wings) ready to pay you a handsome sum for your property. That is always a scam.

The next thing to help would be to find out what your unit is really worth on the resale market. Most Mexican timeshares (which are usually Right-to-use as opposed to owned, deeded property) are worth very little, possibly zero. Knowing that will help you avoid scams aimed at desperate (and unknowledgable) timeshare owners. It will also give you an idea as to what to expect for your timeshare. Remember, many Mexican units are having a hard time even being given away right now. A lot of owners of Mexican timeshares are offering incentives to takers of their units such as absorbing the closing costs and pre-paying the next maintenance fee!

Also be aware of any transfer fees and closing costs imposed by either the resort or the closing company (or both). You and the buyer will have to determine who will pay these fees.

If you want to just give it away simply to get out from under the maintenance fees, then advertise on reputable sites such as RedWeek's Bargain Basement that you want to give it away.
