Timeshare resale

Hello!! Wondering if it is better to resell a TS as a week owner? or as a points owner? Can I sell my timeshare that I bought as a week owner and then bought into Destination points as a Destinations points? Or do I have to sell it as a weeks owner? And can the new buyer use the points or only the week? So confusing!!! Thanks.
