Thinking of buying a resale...

Was considering buying a resale, but I'm a little confused as to what I get and what I have to pay out yearly, and when I stay during my week. I come to Hollywood usually 2x a year, late spring and around mid to late October, so I am considering this as an option to renting hotel rooms.

Can anyone offer any guidance and or advice as to whether or not this is a viable alternative?
