Posting a Timeshare for Rent

Nov 29, 2015

I have a week that I want to rent out. My question is, if no one rents my week can I re-post it another week later on in the year? Is there a penalty?

There are no guarantees for renting. You have 6 months of continuous advertising time. You can change the rental dates and prices for the resort during that time but you can not change the resort itself. So if you own or have access to multiple weeks at the same resort then it may work for you. If you would try to rent something else out not so much.

I have used Redweek to rent out an Orlando holiday week and as soon as I am successful (or unsuccessful and decide to deposit), I immediately update availability to the following year for the remaining month(s). I never get anyone willing to commit so early but I do get a few inquiries that keep my info for when they are ready to rent. I then let it lapse and if I need to still rent out a few months before the next check in date, I pay to list with Redweek again.
