Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Selling Festiva Timeshare

Feb 12, 2016

Has anyone had any experience selling a Festiva timeshare in Orlando? When I bought it back in 2005 it was 14,900 points which now are through RCI for 54,600 points annually. I currently have 163,800 points that I haven't used. I pay about $464.00 maintenance fees annually. I would appreciate any help. Thanks,

The first piece of help is to never, ever pay anyone a large upfront fee to sell, rent out, market, o "cancel" your timeshare. That is always a scam. The next thing to do is to get a realistic idea of what your unit is worth in the resale market. Most units, especially in Orlando, are worth about zero dollars in the resale market.

Once you have an idea of what it's worth, make sure you advertise on a reputable website that you want to sell or give your unit away. And watch out for the many scam artists who claim they can magically sell your unit for money beyond your wildest dreams.
