Grand Luxxe owner transfer fees
Depends on the contract. I think there are some where it is 10% of the original purchase price. I think there are some that are 5 times the current MF's and the latest may be something like 10 times the current MF's. Also most of the perks don't transfer to the new owner even after paying the $10,000-$20,000 transfer fee. You get the usage rights when you pay the MF's. You lose the no MF if you don't use, you lose any free or discounted golf perks and you lose any additional throw ins like massages.
Basically Vida killed the resale market. If you want the grand luxxe with the bells and whistles you have to buy direct and expect $0 resale value if you need to sell or you can rent from current owners.

Thanks for the information on Transfer fees. We suspected that the value reduced to zero even after playing the fees. The criminals that sell for Vida tried to tell us that the transfer fee was $60k per week for 2br spa tower units that proved to be untrue.

We own Grand Luxxe Spa Tower (yes, fish, hook and sinker)! Have only used it twice. We have had many phone calls and quite a few emails soliciting us to "sell". Promising about 4/5 of our investment......... We tell these people that we are not interested .....that "we will not pay any money up front, no OUT of POCKET cash. They say....... that's fine, we will pay the transfer fee....... Yada, yada. We are given a convoluted story of how they will "Deposit" a check for the enormous (10x) the maintenance fee........into our account. Yea right!. Promise is too good to be true. (We would be happy to get 33% or even 25%.....or less). These are SCAMS. Do not go there! Guess anyone who is trying to unload anything with VIDANTE is in the same boat with us. A great financial loss and an even tougher lesson to learn. We are stuck since we are NOT willing to pay that company even more money (the maintenance fee of a 3 BR Spa Tower is quite enormous). Using it to trade into the Registry Collection is not worth it either.

Thanks for the warning but this scam attempt is nothing new. It's been discussed here on these forums for years now. Each scam might have a few different twists to it but the pattern is the same: An unexpected telemarketing call; an offer to sell or rent out your unit for way above market value; a promise to do it or your money back; some sort of fee or tax that must be paid.
And almost any timeshare that you buy at a presentation (not just Vidante) will lose the majority of what you paid when you try to re-sell it.

Your best bet would be to reserve the highest demand possible week as possible and rent it out (don't pay more than a modest fee to advertise-like on redweek). If you can't reserve a holiday week, like Easter, Christmas or New Years, your best bet would be weeks 4-10 or so. You should at least be able to cover the MF and make a few hundred if not more.
