How long does it take for the reservation to become official after a deposit?

I am in the Holiday Inn Vacation Club. Our system is right away when I make a reservation on line. I can change my reservation that is in my name, put your name on it on line, you can call the front desk and verify your name on it right away. Call in the reservation it might take 12 hours.
