Booking experience for members of Wyndham Limited Edition or Ovation
I would like to see reports of how people in Wyndham's Limited Edition have been able to book vacations. I have been able to book a week on line, with no problem, just as when I was paying the price, borrowing points from my upcoming first use year . At the same time, when trying to book 4 nignts at another resort, where there is availability, I'm told that I don't have enough points (but I do have more than a million). But maybe someone else has had a different experience, and can share reasons why one reservation works and another one doesn't.
I have been advised that "IT knows about this and is working on it." I don't think there is any way to speed up this process, as it really doesn't contribute to Wyndham's bottom line when fixed. Unless there's something I don't see right now.
Added August 13, 2017: The folks who answer the phone at 800-251-8736 cannot (or will not) assist you in borrowing points from your upcoming use year. With the impending split of Wyndham (see Important Message on their website) the IT staff may be working on projects that are more profitable (for the firm). I'm feeling like it is a reversion to the Wyndham attitude of "don't bother us now -- we aren't getting any money from you any more." Is anyone being able to borrow from upcoming use years for bookings several months ahead?
