Hello Redweek family. We booked a vacation to stay at Margaritaville St.Thomas for this Christmas via Shelby Resorts. We are *Wyndham owners, but didn’t have enough points to book this* I also worked for Wyndham for 10 years..... Long story short, when the hurricanes came we emailed to cancel our reservation since there was damage to the resort. We called Wyndham and they told us they would not be opening until after the new year. Shelby Resorts WILL NOT refund our $. Anyone who booked a stay as an owner got their points back. Shelby Resorts got their points back for our stay, but did not refund our money. I scream SCAM. I do not recommend them to anyone and suggest any renters out there to repost as buyer beware.

I have no personal knowledge whatsoever regarding "Shelby Resorts", but you presumably (or should I say hopefully?) have a mutually signed rental contract. What exactly does that contract state regarding cancellations and refunds?

Are you certain that Shelby Resorts" actually had, used, or ever received back Wyndham points for YOUR reservation? Isn't it possible that they booked a reservation with money you provided to them --- but which they now cannot get back and therefore no longer possess to now refund to you? I certainly have no idea and I claim no knowledge on the matter; I'm merely raising directly pertinent questions about relevant (but missing) details. As is ALWAYS the case in timeshare and legal matters, "the devil is in the details".
