So I'm in a rut now. I thought that buying RCI points would be a good investment. I thought that I would be able to rent out my points while in school to help pay the cost of it, but I'm not having any luck renting out my points. Any suggestions? I have just been posting on Craig's List and got a membership here but haven't created an ad, because I don't wanna dish out another $25 for an ad that might never sell. What is the statistics of actually renting out a timeshare? And I'm not sure of good locations? I'm starting to get really anxious and just wanna get rid of my points now. I'm thinking of selling it too. I have 21,000 points that rake up annually, plus another 10,000 this year. No idea what to do?!? Lost my job and going to graduate school. FML. thanks

How about some details of the property you are working with? Location/s for example.

21,000 points won't get you much. Top that off you can't rent RCI exchanges or even directly rci points. You can rent out your underlying week that you reserve 12 months in advance. If your week gets 21,000 per year you either own a biennial or triennial (unit every other year or every third year) or a relatively bad week. Without knowing exactly what you own I could be wrong but I don't think you will be able to rent to even cover your expenses.
