Expiring Interval International Points
We have 45k Interval International points that will expire at the end of October. I hate to have them go to waste, but there's just no way for us to use them next month. Has anyone ever dealt with trying to sell their points, either by booking an exchange or a hotel for someone else? Any other suggestions on how we can make use of these?
Thanks!
Heather B.
Once your unit has been converted to points its the same as depositing the week. You have exchange credits only and Interval International does not allow you to sell and exchange, or getaway or anything you obtain with your exchange points. Redweek will not permit you to advertise an exchange. If you have any family or friends who could use the points you can "gift" them if you obtain a guest certificate for them. If your family or friends decide to discretely reimburse you so be it but if you advertise on a public forum your interval account can be suspended and all exchanges cancelled. You may be able to pay to extend the points but you will have to pay and your points will be restricted and you will have to pay when you make the exchange. If you weren't able to use the points during the year or two that you had to use the points with no restrictions unless you have had a change in your situation and can book and travel in 60 days or less then you may want to let the points expire and concentrate on your current points so this doesn't happen to them.
