Discount Lodging

Has anyone booked through Discount Lodging? When attempting to book I was asked for PayPal plus credit card information. I want to know if this is normal since this is my first time booking this way. Thank you in advance for your help.

I would be very hesitant to move forward. Where did you hear about this company?

Usually when renting a timeshare the owner requests a deposit, usually by PayPal, but could be via cashiers check. Once the owner gets the deposit usually the owner adds your name to the reservation. Once that is confirmed the renter will transfer the remaining balance. Sometimes the RESORT will ask for a credit card upon check-in to hold a deposit in case there are any damages in the room during your stay. So I’m not sure why your owner is asking you for a credit card, if you are paying by PayPal. Have you asked him why he needs your credit card?

Hi Ashley, we booked through them and it was smooth and we called to confirm staying at Massanutten at a great deal. I dealt with a guy name Michael.

Looking to see if anyone has used Discount Lodging recently? They are not verified or protected so I’m hesitant with booking and not being guaranteed the room or reservation etc. new to RedWeek and I was told there are some horror stories from rentals not verified or protected. Thanks

Discount Lodging is a legit broker company. We got an excellent deal and great stay at Massanutten. Beautiful 2 bedroom condo and seamless transaction. When you book through them upon payment, you will have to sign an agreement to protect the property you choose to stay at. And it registers your PC IP address. To make sure you are not a robot or scam renter.

I got my reservation RCI exchange certificate for my stay a week before my stay. I also called the resort a week before to ensure my booking is legit. All that was smooth.

Michael from DiscountLodging will communicate to you via email but responsive for questions or concerns.

Hope this helps! We enjoyed our stay and will book through them in my future stays.
